Internazionale boss Jose Mourinho has stated that whatever decision Brazilian forward Adriano makes regarding his career, he hopes that he is happy. Adriano played in the 2006 World Cup finals for Brazil – who were eventually eliminated by an inspired Zinedine Zidane France.

A shock result in Bolivia as Argentina were thrashed 6-1, whilst European Champions Spain overcome a 1-0 deficit in Turkey to win 2-0. Michael Ballack scored a screamer against he Welsh whilst Frank Ribery saved the French again with his second goal against Lithuania in five days.

Boliva thrash Argentina

Diego Maradona suffered the humiliation of his first defeat as Argentina boss by losing 6-1 to Bolivia in a World Cup Qualifier. The defeat marked the biggest defeat in history for Argentina – who last lost by such a margin to Colombia 5-0 in 1993.
