Johan Cruyff doesn’t want an English side – except Arsenal

Former Dutch forward and legend Johan Cruyff says that his former club, Barcelona, will be keen to avoid Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-finals, but would not be too concerned if face with Arsenal. Johan Cruyff was the main man in Holland’s journey to the World Cup final in 1974 – but lost to the Germans 2-1.

UEFA unlikely to move final

UEFA has announced that it is unlikely to move the final from Rome after an Arsenal fan was stabbed in the leg before the last 16 tie between the London club and Roma on Wednesday. UEFA also amazingly claimed that moving the final away from the chosen ground would make fans ‘less safe’

Mourinho denies assaulting a United fan

Internazionale manager Jose Mourinho has denied assaulting a Manchester United fan on Wednesday night. Mourinho was making his way to the team bus after watching his side lose 2-0 to the European Champions when the alleged attack was made.

Bayern thrash Sporting Lisbon

German Champions Bayern Munich are through to the quarter finals of the Champions League having thrashed Sporting Lisbon 12-1 on aggregate. Troubled Bayern striker Lukas Podolski, who is set to leave in summer, scored twice in the 7-1 rout at the Bayern Arena. Bayern are managed by Jurgen Klinsmann who was a winner at World Cup in 1990.
