Real deny transfer agreement as Ronaldo commits to United

La Liga runners up, Real Madrid, have denied that they have finalised a transfer agreement between themselves and English Champions Manchester United – who play Barcelona in the Champions League final next Wednesday – for World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo himself has also committed his future to United – which will come as a massive blow to the Madrid club.

Germany wins under 17 european championship

Germany's under 17 wins championship

Today Germany won the under 17 european tournament against their rivals the Netherlands on extra time 2:1.This is the first titel for a German national youth team since 1992 and a big sucess for the new formed DFB youth advancement.

Man United win Premier League whilst WBA go down

United will the title

Manchester United claimed their eighteenth English Championship, equaling the record set by arch rivals Liverpool back in 1989/90. Manchester United have won the Premier League on the past three occasions and the point they obtained against Arsenal was enough to get them over the finishing line. Meanwhile at the other end, WBA were relegated after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool.

Who wins the race for Diego?

While Juventus and Bayern Munich are struggeling for Diego he insists that he is fully focussed on ending the season with Bremen as good as possible. His father, who is one of his consultants, was seen in Munich for negotiations. Also Juventus chairman Giovanni Cobolli Gigli announced in the “Corriere dello Sport” that they have a written aggreement. So who is winning the race?

Newcastle United striker Michael Owen is being linked with a summer move to Scottish Champions Celtic on a a pay-as-you-play deal in a bid to resurrect his faltering career. Owen is currently Newcastle’s top goal scorer with eight goals, but has been a shadow of his former self in recent years.

Manchester United and Barcelona will meet in the 2009 Champions League Final held in Rome this May – as both sides overcame London opposition to reach the 54th final. Manchester United are competing in their fourth final having won the trophy in all three final played previously whilst Barcelona will be competing in their sixth final – however only winning the competition twice in their history.
