Ancelotti: I will not join United or Chelsea

AC Milan head coach Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out the possibility of managing Chelsea next season after watching his side beat Chievo 1-0 in the Serie A run in. Reports had linked the 49 year old to a move to the Premier League next season – with Chelsea being the ideal destination.

Ancelotti said “I exclude the possibility of going to Chelsea – I exclude Manchester (United) too” when asked about the possibility of managing the South Londoners who were in an epic battle with Bolton Wanderers today. The European Cup winner, both as a manager and player, was involved in two World Cup campaigns with Italy in 1986 and 1990 – he played in three matches at the World Cup in 1990.

AC Milan are currently in third place on 61 points, thirteen points behind rivals Internazionale – who are set to win yet another Serie A title. Milan are also out of the UEFA cup and must make sure they hold off Genoa and Fiorentina for a Champions League place for next season.
