Liverpool front man Fernando Torres believes that Spain should not underestimate Turkey when the sides meet on Wednesday for their second match in five days.
Spain, who have never won the World Cup but are current European Champions, beat Turkey 1-0 on Saturday with a first goal from Gerard Pique, however the Turks put up a good fight prior to conceding the goal. Spain are currently top of their group with a perfect record of 15 points out of 5 games played and look certain to challenge for honours in 2010.
Torres, who some believe is the best striker in European Football, spoke on Monday “We must be humble in taking on any rival and all the more so with Turkey as they have a great team. They made things tough for us last Saturday and they will do all the more so on Wednesday. ”
